    USA Track & Field Coach

USA Weightlifting Sports & Performance Coach

From All-State Track and Field Honors to Military Bronze Star recipient, Jason is a Coach with the experience and understanding on how to get the most out of life.  Born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, Jason's athletic pursuits started during his time at Mary G. Montgomery High School as a County/Sectional Champion and record holding track and cross-country athlete. During this time he also went on to garner All-Metro Honors, as well as All State Honors for performances in the 800 and 1600 meter events. Jason's next step took him to Bevill State Community College in Hamilton, Al. where he earned four All-American titles (800m, 1500m, 4x800m Relay, Distance Medley Relay) and was named Captain of the History setting, 2000 NJCAA Div. II Cross-Country National Championship Team (The only team from Alabama to ever win this Title).  Jason continued his pursuit of athletics at Mississippi State University where he battled through numerous injuries to post a personal best Mile in 4:12, and was a member of the School Record Setting Distance Medley Relay.

During his tenure at Mississippi State, Jason also earned his commission as an Officer in the United States Army.  He graduated, Cum Laude as a Distinguished Military Graduate in 2005.  While pursuing his Master's Degree, Jason also attended the Armor Officer Basic Course, Army Basic Airborne Course, Scout Leader's Course, and attended the coveted Army Ranger School, where he suffered a knee injury and was unable to continue. This is when he was introduced to CrossFit in early 2008, and became certified soon after. Using the concepts of CrossFit to help rehab the injury, he began crossfitting out of the back of his truck with 2 barbells, 2 kettlebells, a homemade box, and used an old greenhouse frame as a Pull-up Bar. With little experience in formal coaching, he dedicated himself to constantly improve his coaching abilities, becoming a better student of the Sport,  and sharing his passion for CrossFit with anyone and everyone.

During his Military Career he has served as a Platoon Leader and Executive Officer for the 1-98th Armored Reconnaissance Squadron. In 2009-2010 he served overseas during Operation Enduring Freedom and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service. While overseas he began coaching and training soldiers utilizing the CrossFit methodology and helped several reach their weight-loss and fitness goals, where other programs had failed. Upon his redeployment he was assigned as Commander for Co. C 1-155 CAB, and currently trains future Officers as the Senior TAC Officer for the Mississippi State Army National Guard Officer Candidate School program.

He is a very accomplished and skilled CrossFitter, Coach, and still a student of the ever evolving sport of fitness.  Jason is on a mission to create and serve a community of people who value hard work, character, integrity, and who support and motivate one another to reach their personal goals. He believes that CrossFit Eastern Shore is a vehicle to realize that dream.

His passion for fitness, sports-performance, and a Healthy lifestyle is evident and now he wants to share that same passion and commitment with the Eastern Shore Area. He has been training in CrossFit and certified as both a CrossFit L1 Trainer and a Level 1 USA Track and field coach since 2008.  His coaching experience has spanned from teens to college athlete, post natal mothers to Combat Veterans. As being the owner of the first CrossFit box in Baldwin County, Jason has been dedicated to bringing his passion for changing peoples lives to the area.

Introduced to endurance sports and training around the age of 8, Adam found his athletic ability in the swimming pool. Swimming for both his High School team and the Fort Worth Area Swim Team (FAST) Adam has had the chance to learn various training methodologies and training techniques for improved athleticism. Adam transfered his love for the sport of swimming to coaching in 2005 as he began coaching 3-16 year old athletes. His past athletes have competed at both the collegiate and national level.

Finding Crossfit in the summer of 2010, Adam knew that his goal was to eventually become a certificated coach and help others increase their fitness level. Spending the majority of his time pounding the concrete training for endurance and ultra endurance events, Adam used the Crossfit training methodologies to rehabilitate himself in preparation for the 2010 Dallas White Rock Marathon.

Upon relocation to the Baldwin County area,  Adam sought the help of Jason Odom at Crossfit Eastern Shore for additional rehabilitation aid in an effort to heal a stress fracture in his right leg due to an overtraining running injury. Through Jason's knowledge of competitive running and advanced rehabilitation efforts through Crossfit's methodologies, Adam once again knew that Crossfit was the answer to the age old question "What is Fitness."

Adam has been a part of the Crossfit Eastern Shore community since April of 2011 and has been on the coaching staff since August of 2012.

Stephanie was born and raised in Fairhope and was introduced to fitness at an early age by her father who got highly involved in Triathlons. As a child she was always involved in sports. However, her true love for fitness and nutrition developed when she was introduced to Crossfit in 2011. She fell in love with the sport while living in Maine with her husband, Randy and their daughter, Katherine.

Hesitant at first, she quickly grew to know that Crossfit was right for her and soon after, found herself stronger and healthier than she had ever been.  After becoming a Level 1 Crossfit Trainer in 2011, she wanted to help others reach their fitness and nutrition goals. She started coaching at a good friend’s box in Maine where she built their OnRamp classes. Both Randy and Stephanie helped him expand his box from a garage gym to a much larger facility. From 2011-2013 she has coached individuals from all backgrounds and she has had the pleasure of helping these individuals reach their fitness goals.

Now that she has relocated back to the Eastern Shore, Stephanie is very excited to spread her love of fitness and nutrition with the Crossfit Eastern Shore Community.

Almost immediately after he started he knew wanting to help others improve their fitness was the goal. He became a Level 1 Crossfit Trainer in 2011 and helped expand their box in Maine by becoming highly involved in coaching the All Levels Class.

In December 2012, he deployed to Bahrain with the Coast Guard. To keep CrossFit a part of his lifestyle and continue to help individuals become healthier, Randy helped establish CrossFit Bahrain.
